The total amount of lineage's fields in the North of China was less than those in the South, but some lineages still have their own fields. According to different functions, these lineage's fields can be divided into various types such as sacrifice field, Yoshida, school-owned farm or all three. Different types play different roles in the construction and development of lineage in the North of China.
