%X With the development of optical communications, Light-emitting materials used for the amplifier
used in optical communication and amplifier requirements more and more and more demanding. In optical
communication systems,due to the structure of the rare earth-doped fiber amplifier makes it impossible to be
integrated,people began to consider the development of planar erbium doped waveguide amplifier ( EDWA) .It
is use of optical waveguides doped rare earth erbium ions to achieve stimulated emission pumping light under.
Of Y3+,Yb3+,and of Er3+ co-doped Al2O3 powders,an attempt to increase of Er3+ in the matrix dispersion and
uniformity.Reduce the photon quenching centers in the material of the erbium -doped ions concentration, to
study the modulation of different concentrations of Yb3+ co-doped material microstructure. And luminescent
properties of Al2O3 were investigated, in order to obtain excellent performance of the alumina
luminous materials.
