The experiment of measuring giant magnetoresistance effect and its application by manual and automatic methods is designed，the experimental content and measurement means are improved，the students’ understanding of the principle and application of giant magnetoresistance is deepened，and the students’ability to analyze and deal with a variety of problems is cultivated．
